Welcome to VKRP for the 2024-2025 School Year!
The VKRP team is excited to welcome new and returning kindergarten and pre-kindergarten teachers to the 2024-2025 school year! We have some exciting updates to VKRP, so please read on to learn about what is new this year and how you can prepare for the upcoming assessment term.
Updates for 2024-2025
- Mid-Year Time Point: Starting this year, the EMAS will be available at a mid-year time point. (January 6th– February 3rd).
- Remote EMAS version: The remote version of the EMAS was implemented as an additional way teachers could utilize the EMAS assessment during the pandemic when virtual learning was prominent. Currently, as most divisions and programs are primarily conducting learning in-person, there has been seen little to no use of this assessment method. Therefore, VKRP has retired the remote version of the EMAS.
- Updated Family Information Report: In the spring, VKRP implemented new Family Information Reports for pre-kindergarten students. These reports now include additional information to help families understand their child’s scores and growth reports so that they can see how their children have developed in key skill areas over the school year. This fall, the VKRP team will release a new Kindergarten Family Information Report that include updates as well.
