We want to hear from YOU!

From the beginning, it has been important to the VKRP team to hear feedback from our partners in the school divisions (like you)! Teachers, instructional coaches, educational specialists, counselors, and administrators have shared their experiences regarding the various aspects of the VKRP. That feedback has helped the team prioritize and implement numerous improvements, to name a few:

  • Integration of the VKRP assessments into one online platform
  • Streamlining of the EMAS online programming and materials
  • Development of the VKRP Program Manual
  • Addition of the Family Information Report and Family Resources
  • Interactive reports that use data to recommend instructional resources

Now with the VKRP being implemented statewide, your feedback is as important as ever! We want to hear from you about your experiences with the system this year—what went well and places where we can continue to improve. We would also like to hear about how you have used the VKRP data, and how you may have interacted with families using the VKRP data. We also have included a few questions about your kindergarten transition practices and use of curriculum, your insights will help our team as we think more broadly on providing support statewide for kindergarten readiness. As direct users of the system, your feedback is invaluable.

Last week, all teachers and administrators who have used the VKRP system this fall were sent an email with a personalized link to complete the fall 2019 VKRP feedback survey. You may need to check your spam folder if you don’t see the email. This is your chance to be heard, so please participate! As an incentive, responses received by the end of the day today (November 26, 2019) will be entered into a drawing, and 100 lucky winners will receive a $50 gift card!!

From the entire VKRP team, we want to thank you for your dedication to the education and growth of the Commonwealth’s kindergartners. We are grateful to have you as our partners!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and keep an eye out for our next blog in early December that will focus on tips to take care of YOU during this busy time of the year!
